    We collect information in several ways depending on how you interact with our Platform.

    1.1 Information You Provide Directly

    • Account Information: When you register for an account, we collect your full name, email address, password, organization name, and account type (Broker or Buyer).
    • Profile Information: Additional details you choose to provide, such as phone number, job title, company details, and professional background.
    • Listing Information: If you are a Broker, information about music catalogs you list, including catalog names, descriptions, revenue data, song counts, genre classifications, and asking prices.
    • Communications: Messages exchanged through the Platform, including deal thread messages, offers, and inquiries.
    • Documents: Files uploaded to deal rooms, including financial statements, contracts, catalog analytics, and NDA signatures.
    • Payment Information: Billing details and payment information processed through our third-party payment providers. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

    1.2 Information Collected Automatically

    • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, search queries, listings viewed, and interactions with other Users on the Platform.
    • Device and Browser Information: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, and screen resolution.
    • Log Data: Server logs that record requests made to our Platform, including timestamps, referring URLs, and response codes.
    • Location Data: Approximate geographic location derived from your IP address.

    1.3 Information from Third Parties

    • Authentication Providers: If you sign in using a third-party service (e.g., Google), we may receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider.
    • Analytics Services: We may receive aggregated analytics data from third-party analytics providers to help us understand how Users interact with the Platform.

    2. How We Use Your Information

    We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

    • Providing the Services: To operate the Platform, process transactions, facilitate communications between Users, manage deal rooms, and deliver the features you request.
    • Account Management: To create and manage your account, verify your identity, and process your organization membership.
    • Personalization: To tailor the Platform experience to your preferences, including saved searches, recommended listings, and notification preferences.
    • Communications: To send you transactional emails (e.g., account verification, offer notifications, deal updates), and, with your consent, marketing and promotional materials.
    • Analytics and Improvement: To analyze usage patterns, diagnose technical issues, improve Platform features, and develop new services.
    • Security and Fraud Prevention: To detect, prevent, and address fraud, unauthorized access, and other illegal activities, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
    • Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes, or enforceable governmental requests.

    3. How We Share Your Information

    We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

    • With Other Users: Certain information is shared as part of the marketplace functionality. For example, Brokers' listing information is visible to Buyers, and messages exchanged within deal threads are visible to thread participants and deal team members.
    • Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including cloud hosting (Supabase), payment processing, email delivery, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to provide services to us.
    • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
    • Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change in ownership or control of your personal information.
    • With Your Consent: We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

    4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

    We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on the Platform.

    • Essential Cookies: Required for the Platform to function properly, including authentication tokens and session management. These cannot be disabled.

    • Row-Level Security (RLS) policies on our database to ensure Users can only access data they are authorized to view.
    • Secure, server-side signed URLs for accessing private documents in deal rooms, with no direct client-side access to private storage.
    • Cryptographically random file paths for uploaded documents to prevent unauthorized access through URL guessing.
    • Regular security reviews and monitoring of access logs.

    Despite our efforts, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information. If you become aware of a security vulnerability, please report it to us immediately at support@tunetrader.io.

    6. Data Retention

    We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. We may also retain certain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and for legitimate business purposes.

    When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable timeframe, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., maintaining audit logs for completed transactions, preserving records required for legal compliance).

    Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

    • Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information. You can also update most account information directly through your account settings.

    • Opt-Out of Marketing: You may opt out of receiving marketing communications from us at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in our emails or by contacting us.
